A former champion Cheerleader, Cat began instructing pole dance fitness in 2008 and has a love for the sport, especially the benefits it gives to students in terms of boosting their self confidence and accepting themselves as having a perfect, functional body that can perform amazing feats every day regardless of their size and shape.
Cat is the co-director of South Pole AKademy together with Jenni Gooch. At the AKademy we strive for perfection with our students while providing an environment that is equal parts fun, safe, social and fitness focused.
She is REPs accredited and hold Exercise to Music, Pole Passion level 1 and 2 qualifications, and is an accredited cheerleading coach to mastery level. She is also a Pole Dance Community Accredited Level 2 Instructor, along with Jennifer Gooch, which made South Pole AKademy the first and only pole school in the world to boast two PDC L2 instructors.
She has competed in a number of pole fitness competitions for charity and also at Miss Pole Dance UK 2009 synchronised doubles with partner Jennifer Gooch.
Cat was to be voted joint Head Judge at NSPDS (with Pippa Ceasar of Polenastics) in 2010 and has subsequently been privileged to judge Miss Pole Dance World 2010, Miss Pole Dance Amateur 2010, Miss Pole Dance Semi-Pro 2010, Mr Pole Fitness 2010 (Head Judge) and the Inter University Competition at UKC 2011.
Cat has assisted in the development of the latest Instructor Training Certificate with Pole Passion. And regularly tours the UK delivering Masterclasses at other pole schools, the most recent of these being a Masterclass session at the University of Kent in February 2011.
Cat also offers personal training and nutrition services, teaches the South Pole AKademy Burlesque classes and regularly features as a performer at events, including support and backup dancing for bands.
She is due to compete in Miss Pole Dance UK 2011 on 25th June.
